Leanne has called Craig home for the past 14 years, where she lives with her husband, Joel, and their three children. She is passionate about the land, the lifestyle, and the unique experience that comes with living on Prince of Wales Island. From hiking and camping to boating, beaches, and hunting, Leanne embraces the outdoor life that defines the island and takes every opportunity to share it with her children, family, and friends.

Beyond her love of the outdoors, Leanne is deeply rooted in her community. She appreciates the familiarity and togetherness that make Craig so special—from local sports that bring everyone out to cheer, to the Waverunners swim club where she remains actively involved in supporting competitive opportunities for island youth. Her faith community is also an important part of her life, and she participates with purpose and enthusiasm.

During the summer months, Leanne and her husband run a fishing charter business and stay involved in several commercial fisheries, giving her firsthand experience with the island’s business dynamics and local economy. Their family is committed to raising their children in a subsistence lifestyle and ensuring they stay connected to the rhythms and values of life in Craig, Alaska.
